Titillium is born inside the Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino as a didactic project Course Type design of the Master of Visual Design Campi Visivi
The aim of the project is the creation of a collective fonts released under OFL to be promoted and shared through a web platform. Each academic year, a dozen of students are working on the project developing and solving problems. The type designers interested in the amendment or revision of Titillium are invited to cooperate or develop their own variants of the character according to the terms specified in the license. We also asking the graphic designers who use Titillium in their projects to send us some character´s imagines used in order to prepare a case histories database.
Three years after the birth of Titillium the project is still evolving , even we don’t know what it will become in the future.

Titillium nasce all´interno dell´Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino come progetto didattico del corso di Type design della Laurea specialistica di visual design Campi Visivi
Lo scopo del progetto è la creazione collettiva di una font rilasciata sotto licenza Ofl da promuovere e condividere attraverso una piattaforma web. Ogni anno accademico, una decina di studenti lavorano al progetto sviluppandolo e risolvendo problemi. I type designers interessati alla modifica o alla rielaborazione del Titillium sono invitati a cooperare o a sviluppare proprie varianti del carattere secondo i termini indicati nella licenza. Chiediamo anche ai graphic designers che usano il Titillium nei loro progetti di inviarci immagini del carattere in uso così da predisporre un database di case history.
A tre anni dalla nascita del Titillium il progetto è in permanente evoluzione, neppure noi sappiamo cosa diventerà da grande.
